CHORDATE
1. Vertebral column is present.
2. Heart is ventral.
3. Haemoglobin is present in red blood corpuscles.
4. Central nervous system is dorsal and hollow.
5. Post anal tail is present.

NON - CHORDATE
1. Vertebral column is absent.
2. Heart is dorsal.
3. Haemoglobin is dissolved in plasma.
4. Central nervous system is solid and ventral.
5. Post-anal tail is absent.

=> Gill slits are present.

=> heart is ventral

=> post anal part that is a tail is present

=> Gill slits are absent
