Evaporation is a cooling process, because the particle of the liquid continuously give up their energy particles that are escaping from the surface.
Example: When we do work, we spend most of our energy in the form of heat energy from the body,as a result the temperature of our skin becomes higher and the water in the sweat glands starts evaporating .Thus, evaporation cools body.
