Hi Dear !

1)
India is a vast country with a great amount of diversity from one region to another in terms of its geography, historical experience and the resultant social, cultural and economic attributes. This diversity is also manifested in the patterns of population distribution in the country.

One of the unique features of India’s population relates to its uneven distribution over space.

The fertile plains in north are most thickly populated.

The northwestern arid regions are almost uninhabited.

Pattern of population distribution are determined by the availability of agricultural land and water resources together with favorable climatic conditions.

2)Because , Before millions of years, the earth had only one land called pangea. Pangea was divided into gondwana in the southern and angora in the northern part. Due to plate movements and continental drift , this land broke apart. The peninsular part of india, which was once a part of the gondwana land, broke and collided with the eurasian plate. During this collision, land in between got folded and formed the himalayan range. Thus himalayas is the youngest landform in india and a fold mountain.

Answer:

Volcanoes and population density Mohr observed in 1938 that the region near Mount Merapi has higher population densities in areas with soils derived from volcanic ash. These soils are most probably the reason that Java can sustain high human population densities, estimated at more than 1,100 people per square km.
