The outer protective layer of pollen grain is made of sporopollin which is one of the strongest organic material that is resistant to high temperature acidic conditions and alkaline nature.so to protect the pollen grain from these temperature and pH issues there is a protective layer around pollen grain to ensure and enhance the probability of landing of pollen grain on stigma
