answer 1. Only two immiscible liquid having different densities can be separated by separating funnel . since mixture of methyl and ethyl alcohol is miscible therefore it cannot be separated by separating funnel .
answer 2.because if both the liquid have same boiling point then it's vapour phase will contain 50percent of each liquid and we will again get the same mixture. you can separate it by using other techniques like chromatography, osmosis etc.
