1.Two Causes Are Global, and Two Are Local

Ice melting from land into the ocean, warming waters that expand, a slowing Gulf Stream, and sinking land all contribute to sea level rise. Although a global phenomenon, the amount and speed of sea level rise varies by location, even between the East and the West Coasts.

2.Circular Orbit. Gravity supplies the necessary centripetal force to hold a satellite in orbit.

The reasons behind the each phenomena has been explained below.

Explanation:

  1. The gravitational forces exerted by the moon and sun on the earth and also the rotation of earth is responsible for the tides. Due to the gravitational attraction the water rises above the sea level and tide is formed.
  2. When satellite moves around a planet, the gravitational force of attraction acts on it. This is the force which prevents the satellite from escaping in tangential direction of velocity and thus the satellite circles in circular orbit.
  3. A concert hall is made curved because in such structure, the clear sound reaches to each and every audience because of better reflection of sound in every corner of the hall.
