Give reason:-
(a) A liquid generally flows easily.
(b) Ice at 0oC appears colder to the mouth than water at 0oC. Why?
(c) Doctors advise to put strips of wet cloth on the forehead of a person having
high temperature.

  1. A liquid can flow easily because their particles can move each other. when water is poured into a glass,the particle of water move over each other and into the corners of the glass.
  2. In your mouth, ice absorbs latent heat as well as the heat energy in order to attain your body temperature whereas Water at 0°C absorbs only heat energy to attain your body temperature. ... That's why ice feels colder.
  3. Wet strips absorbs heat from the body and decrease the temperature of the body. this process is called evaporation. Hence to reduce the body temperature doctors advice to put strips of wet cloth on the forehead of a person having high temperature.
