Give reason a bullet is fired against a glass window pane makes a hole in it without cracking it

bullet has very small surface area. due to this it exerts perpendicular force or thrust on small area. thus due to extreme pressure on small area the glass gets a hole on it. if it were to have a larger surface area like a ball, then it would have cracked.

Initially, the entire glass is in a state of rest.
When a bullet strikes the glass pane the part of the glass pane which comes in contact with the bullet immediately share the large velocity of the bullet and flies away making a hole.
The remaining part of the glass, due to inertia of rest remains at rest and is not cracked.
