CHALK IS A SOLID BECAUSE IT HAS A DEFINITE SHAPE AND IN IT PARTICLES ARE TIGHTLY PACKED. ... FOR DIFFUSION THERE SHOULD BE MOVEMENT OF PARTICLES AND SINCE IN SOLIDS PARTICLE DO NOT MOVE NO DIFFUSION TAKES PLACE .
