Deserts are hot primarily because of a lack of water. When the sun shines on the ground, all of the absorbed sunlight goes into raising the ground's temperature.
where as in forest its full of tress and water bodies

Because in a deserted region (say, a desert) there are very few or almost no trees so there's no cooling effect provided by the trees that's why the environment remains hot and the temperature is very high in comparison to temperature in a forsted area due to a lot of trees.
