A gas can fill the whole vessel in which it is enclosed because force of attraction between the particles of gas is very small ,its particles moves freely in all the possible direction.

gas can fill in a closed container because the intermolecular force between the atoms of gas is much greater. therefore lee intermolecular force of attraction
