Ans : Due to osmosis...

Explanation : When red blood cells are kept in saline concentrated solution as the concentration of solution is higher than the concentration inside the cell thus water will move outside of cytoplasm and the cell will shrink due to exosmosis. The solution is hypertonic solution.
