Wool has a greater bulk than other fabrics because the wool fibeers are thicker than the other fibres as, wool comes from the hair of animals (sheep, goats, camels) while most of the others  are plants or insects like silk worm etc.

Wool has a 'greater bulk' than other fabrics because the 'wool fibres' are thicker than the other fibres.

EXPLANATION:

Wool has a greater bulk then other fabrics because the wool fibre have larger volume and thickness as they are extracted from the animals while the other fibre are extracted from plants or insects.

Wool is natural fibre means which are found in nature. Due to thickness and volume natural heavy fibre attaches to each other and due to wool scaling and crimping, have greater bulk.
