Give reason : Acid must be added to water and not vice versa during dilution .

because dilution of concentratd acid is an exothermic process. of water is added to acid the heat generate may cause the mixture to splash out which can cause severe burns when acid is added to water slowly the mixture will not splash out

If we add water into acid it might splash and can cause injuries or burns hence we should always add acid to water and not the vice versa
