Nana Sahib, son of Peshwa Baji Rao II. Being an adopted son, Nana sahib was not allowed to sit on the Peshwa’s throne by Britishers which made him angry.  

Explanation:  

After death of exiled Baji Rao, he inherited Peshwa’s throne in Bithur. Being an adopted father, he still pleaded that Nana Sahib must be offered a yearly pension throughout his life, but the British government general, Lord Dalhousie denied his petition. Instead, he sent Azimullah Khan to push his claims at London.
