Cell division a process in which parent cell divides into two identical daughter cells and both the daughter cells have an exact copy of the hereditary material present in the parents in unicellular organism it is means of reproduction where is in multicellular animals it is means of growth repairing reproduction.
Cell division for growth:- All multicellular animals and plants begin their life as a single cell and attains a size as large as elephant or whale or a giant sequoia tree this increase in size is due to the increase in the number of cells as a result of repeated cell division.
Cell division for repair :-)new cells are required at the site of injury cut or fracture to heal the bound to replace the damaged tissues or to fill the gap between the broken surfaces.
