give reason for following questions 1 ) Hydtogen atomic no 1 mass no 1 needs one atom. 2) Oxygen atomic no 8 mass no 16 needs two elections

1)hydrogen has only one electron so it will gain 1 electron to attain duplet.

2)oxygen has 6 electrons in it's outermost shell so it will gain 2 electrons and attain octet..

hydrogen need one more atom to complete its outer most shell and to get stable

oxgen also take 2 electrons because electronic configuration is 2,6 and it also get two electrons to get stable or to complete its outer shell
