Answer

Unlike arteries, veins contain valves that ensure blood flows in only one direction. But, Arteries don't require valves because pressure from the heart is so strong that blood is only able to flow in one direction. Valves also help blood travel back to the heart against the force of gravity.

Answer:

veins have valves in them as it work to transport blood from different parts of the body to heart as their the pressure is a low and there is also risk of the blood going downwards so veins have the valves help in making the blood go in the one direction only and also it restricts in between the part of the blood in downward direction.
