1. Meristematic cells are dividing cells and continue to divide throughout their lives.


2. Meristematic cells have an ability to regenerate.


3. Thus, since the cells can divide themselves, they do not need vacuole and since they require nucleus and lack vacuoles.


4. Thus, since the cells repeatedly divide themselves and continue to grow throughout their lives, the cells have a dense cytoplasm, thin walls and a prominent nucleus.
