1)Na,K and Ca metals form hydrides by combination with hydrogen gas , but most other metals do not

1) because they are highly reactive while others are less reactive .

2)because metal are supposed to give electrons and when a potential difference is given to the electrons they start to seperate from the atom and thus current flows through a metal .
