particles of hot food hv more kinetic energy becoz of more temperature. so the rate of diffusion is more and so we can smell it from far. in cold food the rate of diffusion is lower

2) A diver is able to cut through water in a swimming pool because their is very large inter molecular space between the particles of water and they are not tightly packed with each other
3)They are in constant random motion
They have intercellular spaces between them
