(c) Rate of diffusion is more in liquids than solids.

1   Because it has a definite shape at room temperature. It does not diffuse with other substances.

2   The molecules are continually colliding with each other and with the walls of the container. When a molecule collides with the wall, they exert small force on the wall The pressure exerted by the gas is due to the sum of all these collision forces. ... They hit the walls of their container harder and more often.

3  The rate of diffusion of liquids higher than that of solids because liquids have higher inter-particle space than solids. This leads to higher fluidity than solids as the particles in a liquid are not as closely packed as in case of solids.
