a). camphor disappears if kept in open there for a few days?

b). wet clothes do not dry easily on a rainy days?

Ans a) Camphor is a sublime meaning is that it transforms into gas without becoming liquid.

Ans b) Wet clothes do not dry easily on rainy days because we know that evaporation is directly proportional to the amount of moisture and since there is high amount of moisture during a rainy day so evaporation takes place slowly.

Ans c) We sweat more on humid days because the amount of moisture is high.

Answer :

a) Camphor disappears if kept in open for a few days because camphor is sublime in nature. and when it is kept in open it changes into the gaseous form without passing through the liquid stage so that is why it disappears in the atmosphere.

b) The wet clothes dry by evaporating the water present in them . They do not dry easily on rainy days because on rainy days there is very humidity in the air i.e., the water content in the atmosphere is very high . so that is the clothes take a longer period of time to dry on a rainy day .

( as higher the temperature , the humidity rate is low so the clothes dry up faster . )

c) We sweat more on a humid day because on a humid day the rate of evaporation is less as the water content in the atmosphere is already very high. As a result when we sweat on humid days , that sweat does not evaporates out from our body and we feel that we are sweating very much as complete to the regular days .
