A) Forests are important to avoid floods and drought as the trees in Forest hold up soil tighly due to which it resists the flow of water and reduces the speed of water due to which the floods are avoided.

B) Desertification occurs due to deforestation as when trees are cuted off the soil becomes bare and on that bare land the air current brings dust granules and soil which settles on the land causing Desertification.

C) Forest are called green wealth as they provide us with lots of useful and essential ingredients used in daily life.

D) Animal life is also affected by deforestation as the only place where the wild animals can stay is their home that is Forest but due to deforestation they are losing their home and thus affecting their lives.
