give reason for the following
(a) if we touch electric bulb that has been kept switched on for sometime ,it will be hot
(b) for a fuse wire ,we should choose a wire which melt easily
(c) if we bring a magnetic compass near an electric circuit, the needle moves
(d) iron fillings, which are attracted to an Electromagnet ,drop down when the electric current is switched off

(a) the bulb will be hot as there is a slight amount of heat energy produced when the bulb is on

(d) iron fillings, which are attracted to an Electromagnet ,drop down when the electric current is switched off because an electromagnet is magnetized with electric- charge, and when the charge is cut off so is the magnetisim

reenaanthony: (b) so if by chance excess current flows through the circuit , the fuse melts and breaks , also breaking the circuit .If fuse will not be there, the wires can be overheated which can cause fire
