Hey!!!

_______

(a) Toothpaste prevents tooth decay because toothpaste is basic in nature. In a tooth decay the pH of our mouth falls below 5.6 which lead to corrosion of calcium phosphate/enamel

(b) Baking Soda is advisable to rub on bee sting because bee sting contains Methanoic/Formic Acid which causes irritation in our skin. Rubbing Baking Soda neutralizes the effect and hence the pain is reduced.

________

Hope this helps ✌️

{a}:- toothpaste is used to prevents tooth decay because tooth decaying produced acids in our teeth which often corrode it. being a base, tooth paste neutrilise the acid and thus prevents tooth decaying.

{b}:-when their is any cut by bees, it enjects methonic acid .being a base, baking soda neutrilise the acid and give relief
