Give reason for the following: a)why are copper and aluminium metals used as connecting wires? b) Why is turgsten used for filament of electric lamps? c) Why is lead-tin alloy used for fuse wires?

a) because copper and aluminum wires has more number of free electrons .
b)because is its resistivity is very high I.e. 5.2×10^-8.
c)because this alloy has low melting point

(a) We use copper and aluminium as connecting wires because copper and aluminium have very low resistivities.
(b)Tungsten is used for maming filaments of electric lamps and bulbs because it has a very high melting point ( of 3380°C)
(c) Lead tin alloy used for making fuse wires because they have low melting point.
