Give reason for the following:
An electric bulb is not filled with air but is filled with argon or nitrogen.
The filament type electric bulbs are not power efficient.
The coils of heating devices are made of alloys rather than pure metals
Copper and aluminium wires are usually used for electricity transmission.
The current that makes the heater element red hot only slightly warms the connecting
leading to the heater.

Answer:

because nitrogen and argon are non reactive gases .

because the filament of the bulb consumed most of the power that's why

because alloys have high melting point and high resistivity

because copper and aluminium are good conductor of electricity

the heating element have high resistivity which helps in dissipation of more electricity into heat and the connecting leading have comparatively less resistance that's why they get heated slightly
