The smell of hot sizzling food reaches you several matter away , but to get the smell from cold food you have to go close.

But the cold particles of food don't diffuse rapidly in air and their smell can't reach to us.... Moreover , the speed of hot sizzling food particles is more.... So the temperature increases.... As a result the diffusion rate increases.... So we can get the smell of her t sizzling food sitting several metres away but not so in the case of cold food....
