a)Water vapour diffuses faster than ethyl alcohol or wax. Explanation: When the matters of two different types of particles of are intermixing on their own, this is called as diffusion.

b)When perfume is released it quickly changes into vapour. The kinetic energy of gas molecules is high & the rate of diffusion is high. Hence we can smell the perfume sitting several metres away.
