Answers
Answer:
) Different parts of the body absorb the x-rays in varying degrees. Dense bone absorbs much of the radiation while soft tissue, such as muscle, fat and organs, allow more of the x-rays to pass through them. As a result, bones appear white on the x-ray, soft tissue shows up in shades of gray and air appears black.
2) The camel also has pads of thick leathery skin, on its leg joints, enabling it to kneel or lay in the hot sand. Similar to giraffes, camels move both legs together on each side of their body to walk.
3) There are several reasons why SI is preferred to the old English system of measurement: SI is not based on the arbitrary construct of the human body; rather, on precise and definite standards. SI uses base 10, just like our number system, so it is much easier to learn, remember and convert between units.
