Walls of ventricles are thicker than that of auricles. This is so because the blood is supplies out from the heart to the body part with a higher pressure as compared to artries.

Ventricles have thicker walls than atria because they have to do more work. On the right and left sides of the heart, the atria act as receiving chambers for incoming blood. ... This is because more pressure is needed to drive the blood from the heart through the body is entire circulatory system.
