  1. The Atlantic Ocean is tall and narrow, due to which it has a long coastline on both its east ( Europe and Africa ) and the west ( The Americas ).
  2. The Pacific and Indian Oceans do not have landmasses all around them. Pacific has only islands in the south and the southwest, and Indian ocean has only islands to the south and southeast.
  3. The Atlantic, on the other hand, only borders the Southern Ocean and Arctic Ocean to small extent, and hence has a long coastline.
