  1. They help us evade difficult situations as these commands are not given by the brain and so they don't require much processing therefore are quick. For example - if we touch a hot object we quickly pull our hand back.
  2. Our body acts in a coordinated manner to give proper response to any situation. For example - When any sense organ of our body is affected it sends message to the brain in the form of electrical impulses. This message is send through sensory neurons. The brain analyses the message and decides the action to be taken. The brain then sends instructions for that body part through motor nerves.
