CH4 forms tetrahedral shape, H2O forms bent shape and NH3 forms trigonal pyramidal shape... It's main reason is the repulsion force exerted by the lone pair of valence electrons of the central... All the three have different no. of lone pairs which gives different repulsion and hence forms different shapes... which results in different bond angle
