On sprinkling salt, the concentration on the outside of grass increases...which turns on the process of osmosis. In this process water starts moving out of the grass and they hence run out of water and die.
...hope this helps in some way...

Answer:

Answer: common salt is sprinkled on the grass, then it dies because adding salt results in loss of water from the grass cells due to exosmosis. ... this results in excessive loss of water from the cell resulting in cell death.
