The defination of rational no. is : A rational number is a number which can be written in the form of p/q where p&q are co-prime integers and q is not equal to 0.
For example, 1/2 is an rational no.
0/4 is also a rational no. where q is not equal to zero.
But, if p=3 and q=0 then the answer, 3/0 which is not defined.
So, in a rational no. the denominator be zero.
