The non biodegradable substance affect the environment it spoils the soil and leads to land or soil polution  ,   non biodegradable substances take some billion years to decompose in this process the soil gets spoil and the plants doesnt  exit in that area .. the non biodegradable substances like plastic . gets struck to the soil and when it rains the water that float on the plastic and doesnt  goes into the soil .. in this way the non biodegradable affect the environment

The non-biodegradable substances get accumulated and doesnï get decomposed hence it remains in the ecosystem and causes pollution, chokes the system of many animals and kill them. (ii) These substances due to accumulation cause water and soil pollution e.g., pesticides, detergents, polythene.
