Yhe oxygen atom is more electrophile than sulfur atom and therefore can withdraw electron density towards themselves creating partial negative charge on itself while partial positive charge is generated on sulfur atom hence SO3 becomes electron deficient and hence can act as electrophile.

thankyou

Explanation:

*╔═══❖•ೋ° °ೋ•❖═══╗*

so3acts as an electrophile

because three highly

electronegative oxygen atoms

are attached to Sulphur atom

in which makes Sulphur atom

electron deficient.

It can be shown by resonance.

Sulphur gets •ve charge and

acts as an electrophile
