because of freshwater brought by 200 freshwater River flowing in it which makes one fortieth of total sea water thus making it less saline

(1)salinity of a region depends on the rate of evaporation in the region and the supply of freshwater.

(2)The salinity increases with increase in the rate of evaporation and also when the supply of fresh water is less.

(3)generally, in landlocked seas, the rate of evaporation is more and there is a lack of supply of fresh water from large rivers. As a result,landlocked seas have higher salinity.
