law of conservation of energy is conserved which means total energy is conserved. total energy is sum of kinetic energy and potential energy. kinetic energy increase as gravitation and accelaration of body acts in same direction and both are positive. so kinetic energy increase as body falls down

As the kinetic energy of an object increases its potential energy also decreases.

Hence total amount of energy remains constant

When kinetic energy decreases the potential energy increases

Hence you can say that kinetic energy is continuously converted to potential and potential is converted to kinetic .

Hence energy is only transformed not created nor destroyed.

This proves the Law of Conservation of Energy.

Hope it helps you.
