Wet Clothes do not dry easily on a rainy day because the air has a lot of water vapour on it and it cannot accommodate the water vapour created by the wet clothes so the water remains in the clothes for a longer time.
The rate of evaporation depends on the temperature weather and humidity. The rate of evaporation is faster in sunny days when temperature is hot and humidity is less.
On the rainy day the temperature and weather is not hot hence the rate of evaporation is slow and wet clothes take longer time to dry up.

Heya!!
Wet clothes do not dry easily or take more time
in rainy days because the air content more
moisture that enables them to not hold any
more moisture. Since, the
rate of evaporation is
inversely proportional
to the humidity . It
means evaporation is
slow in the days which
has more humidity. The
water from the clothes do
not taken by the air
as it has much water
content. So , it takes more
time than in summer days.
Hope it helps u:)
