See area of irregular surface can be measured in a number of ways like using graph paper, integration etc. In your childhood days in your drawing classes you must have made drawings with in grids. So graph is a collection of those grids. If you count the number of grids which is quite an easy task. you will get to know the area of figure.

2)- While shooting an arrow you pull the string of the bow and as a result elastic potential energy gets stored in it. As you release it all that stored energy is transferred to the arrow which gets shot with the same amount of kinetic energy. So you can see interchange of energy here.
