Metals and Non-metals. A solution of copper sulphate was kept in an iron pot. ... Iron is more reactive than copper and so iron displaces copper from copper sulphate solution.

Answer:

Explanation:

One reason can be that Iron is more reactive than copper. So according to chemistry, a more reactive metal displaces a less reactive metal. When CuSO₄ is stored in an iron container, it will displace Cu in CuSO₄ to form Fe₂(SO₄)₃. But this does not happen when Fe₂(SO₄)₃ is kept in Cu container.
