Give reason why down a group electronegativity should increase with increase in nuclear charge but it is seen that electronegativity decreases

As we move down the group , the number of shells increases. Number of electrons also increases. So, the interaction of outer electrons with the nucleus decreases due to increase in the distance . So, the electronegativity decreases.
