When the bulb is connect to a closed circuit with some current flowing through it;
- The current flows through the filament of the bulb made up of tungsten.
- Tungsten have a high melting point thus when the current passes through the filament;
- The electrical energy converts into heat energy making it red hot.
- Since it has a high melting point thus it does not melt and so the heat energy gets converted into light energy.
- This is why the bulb glows
