Give reason why excessive content of co2 is responsible for global warming

Co2 is thick gas and in adequate amount is is perfect.
But when it became excess(as now) it creates global warming.

$<b> Reason:-$$<i>Since, it is thick gas so when light come into earth it produce heat and Co2 gas in atmosphere produce a cover which trap all the heat and doesn't let it pass$

co2 is a greenhouse gas so it traps the sunlight that comes to earth donot release them back to the atmosphere so it increases temperature of earth and causes global warming . more amount of co2 is responsible for more trappin of sunlight and leads to global warming
