Red soil is not suitable for cultivation because red soil has less or no fertility. Red soil is derived from rocks . It has low nutrients.

Red soil might not be suitable for cultivation, because red soil is generally derived from crystalline Rock .they are usually poor growing soil, low in nutrients and humus and difficult to cultivate because of low water holding capacity. it might not content suitable minerals which are necessary for growing crops. and it contains large amount of iron and phosphorus which is very harmful for the crops......
