Give reason why Number of male gametes produced is much more than the female gametes produced?

The number of male gametes produced is way more than of female gametes because :

-It will increase the probability of fertilization

for example in humans: The sperm which is robust and can swim well gets the ovum.

Multiple ova means multiple pregnancies.So nature dictates terms here and the woman rules to the roost.

In this swamvar one lady and many suitors as in real life

-And also the motile sperm or male gamete has to swim in female genital track and compete with each other.

-More the male gametes means higher the chance of variations in occurring offspring.
