this is because rate of diffusion increases with increase in temperature as there is an increase in kinetic energy.

Particles of potassium permanganate dissolve easily at room temperature but not in cold water this is all because at room temperature the Kinetic energy of the water molecules are higher as compared to the water molecules in cold water because lowering in temperature causes a decrease in velocity of collision of water and potassium permanganate. And this causes the process of dissolution of potassium permanganate very slow.
